Archeofactu is part of a research project dedicated to the study and preservation of industrial and scientific heritage (EPPIC) as a partner. The organizing committee for this project includes three research units integrated into NOVA-Faculty of Science and Technology: CIUHTC (Interuniversity Centre for the History of Science and Technology), LIBPhys-UNL (Laboratory of Instrumentation, Biomedical Engineering and Radiation Physics) and VICARTE (Glass and Ceramics for the Arts). The project aims to promote and disseminate, in an integrated manner, the implementation of studies, actions and training with a view to valuing and conserving industrial and scientific heritage, seeking to consolidate an interdisciplinary and comprehensive approach in conjunction with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations 2030 Agenda. EPPIC also aims to bring together a group of professionals from different disciplinary fields- Heritage Sciences, Social Sciences, Conservation and Restoration, Physics and Chemistry - dedicated to the study and preservation of this heritage.
