Traditional boats, Tagus River, Lisbon

2005 Creation

Contemporary jewellery, called Traditional Boats, inspired by the shapes of the triangular Latin sail, the keel and the awnings, components of the canopy of traditional boats, which still sail along the Tagus River. Some models were shown at the Naval Centre of Arrentela (Seixal, South of Lisbon), from the network of that museum, in a long-term exhibition conceived on the topic of Boats, memories of the Tejo developed into six themes: (1) Yard (2) Memory of the place territory (3) Tagus estuary (4) Working on the Tagus (5) Between bridges (6) Beyond land.
