2016 Conservation and Restoration

Conservation and restoration of different components of this diesel generator, Winterthur, manufactured by Sulzer Frères (Suiça), inserted in an Ancient Power Station, placed in a deactivated industrial complex in the historical centre of the city, now called the Cultural Complex of Levada de Tomar:

  • Diesel engine in iron, copper and aluminium alloys, rubber, glass, paints and wood.
  • Exhaust pipe in painted iron alloy.
  • Cylinders with valves in iron and copper alloys, wood and paints.
  • Manometers in iron, copper, aluminium and painted aluminium alloys.
  • Water pump and base in iron, copper and aluminium alloys, plastic and paint.
  • Air deposits and base in iron, tinned iron and copper painted alloys.
