Conservation and restoration of an outdoor diesel generator set, in iron alloy, copper alloy, paint, rubber/canvas, located since 1927 in the thermal power plant of the former Gunpowder Factory of Barcarena, today integrated in the Black Gunpowder Museum*. The set consists of a single-cylinder, Deutz heavy oil diesel engine, 40 hp and a Siemens dynamo, with direct current, 51 kW and 500 V, operating in the 4-stroke cycle, coupled to a dynamo by means of a transmission belt, with an engine.
* Integrated in the complex of the former Powder Factory of Barcarena, a factory of military equipment that, after several centuries of activity, would end in 1988. On June 17, 1998, the Black Gunpowder Museum was opened, housed in the building of the old Casa dos Engenhos, the oldest and most emblematic of the complex and the one where the first gigantic mills worked for the black powder coating.
