2000 Conservation and Restoration

Conservation and restoration of an ensemble of 176 copper alloy coins and one lead coin, collected from archaeological excavations in the region of Monforte, Alto Alentejo, specifically in the Roman Villa of Torre de Palma and around the Christian basilica existing at the site, a research carried out and coordinated by the University of Louisville, Kentucky, USA, within two projects:

  • "The Prehistoric Communities of the fourth and third millennia in the region of Monforte" (COMONPH)
  • "The Megalithic Northern Communities Alentejo" (communal), .
