2015 Conservation and Restoration

Follow-up work on the dismantling of the stones of the sixteenth-century wall built on archaeological structures of therapy baths for treating diseases, from the Roman bathing complex of Aquae Flaviae1,2, classified as Portuguese National Monument [2013]. Work performed under the guidance of Eduardo Carmo.

2 It’s a monumental bathing complex with four pools (A, B, C, G), four rooms, three with opus signinum pavement and another heated by the hypocaust system (D, E, K, O), castellum aquae and an intricate system of water distribution (H, J, L, N, P).
