2008 Conservation and Restoration

Conservation, restoration and museology of an ensemble of structures of combustion, from the archaeological site Xerez 12* in the region of Alqueva, Monsaraz (Alentejo).

* Village located on the east slope of a hill overlooking the Guadiana river, on a small platform marked by large granite outcrops to the west and north, and by the riverbed to the east and south, on a gentle slope. Surveys carried out in the area revealed a village that seems to have known several occupations, one of which (Middle Neolithic (?)) is associated with ovens, poorly documented structures so far in this period.
