2018 Creation

Creation of one patchwork of tiles and and placing it in one wall of the private building rehabilitated, Antiga Casa Romão* (Old House Romão), in the historic centre of Lisboa, near the Cathedral. Work carried out under the coordination of Sónia Sarroeira, tiles conservator-restorer.

* Built in 1778, in the centre of Lisbon at the beginning of the reign of D. Maria I, a locksmith workshop, known as "Romão" (Casa Romão - House Romão), dedicated to the manufacture of various articles in wrought iron, such as gratings, gates, nozzles and scale arms, becoming, in the beginning of the 20th century, the Scale Factory Romão, having remained in place for nine family generations over 230 years.
