2019 Conservation and Restoration

Conservation and restoration of tile flooring removed and replaced inside a rehabilitated private building, located in the historic centre of Lisbon (Baixa Pombalina*). Work coordinated by Elvira Barbosa.

* The Baixa de Lisboa (ca. 255 ha), also called Baixa Pombalina or Lisboa Pombalina, was built by order of the Marquis of Pombal, after the 1755 earthquake, between the Terreiro do Paço, near the Tagus River, and Rossio and Praça da Figueira, and, lengthwise, between the Cais do Sodré, Chiado and Carmo, on the one hand, and, the Cathedral and the hill of the Castle of São Jorge, on the other.
