2018 Conservation and Restoration

Conservation and restoration of tile coating, removed and relocated outside and inside a private building* rehabilitated, placed in the historical centre of Lisbon, near the Cathedral. Work carried out under the coordination of Sónia Sarroeira, tiles conservator-restorer.

* Built in 1778, in the centre of Lisbon at the beginning of the reign of D. Maria I, a locksmith workshop, known as "Romão" (Casa Romão - House Romão), dedicated to the manufacture of various articles in wrought iron, such as gratings, gates, nozzles and scale arms, becoming, in the beginning of the 20th century, the Scale Factory Romão, having remained in place for nine family generations over 230 years.
