Ensemble of pieces of armament from the collection of the Black Gunpowder Museum (Barcarena - Oeiras):
- pistol in copper and iron alloys, flint, rubber and wood;
- naval blunderbuss in copper alloy, iron alloy, flint and wood;
- arquebus (2) in iron alloy, wood and one with leather also;
- handle and bullet with handle, iron alloy;
- proof pipe in iron alloy and wood;
- rocket grenade in copper alloy, aluminium, acrylic, paint and rubber;
- cartridge for light signals, 38 mm, copper alloy, paper, cardboard, ink, wax and varnish;
- armour breastplates (2) in iron alloy.
* Integrated in the complex of the former Powder Factory of Barcarena, a factory of military equipment that, after several centuries of activity, would end in 1988. On June 17, 1998, the Black Gunpowder Museum was opened, housed in the building of the old Casa dos Engenhos, the oldest and most emblematic of the complex and the one where the first gigantic mills worked for the black powder coating.
