Wall, 18th c., Benagazil Palace, Lisboa

2015 Conservation and Restoration

Decorative wall painting, inserted inside the Benagazil Palace* building, with drawing and delicate hairline of vegetal composition with graphic representation of fruits and birds. Surrounding frieze decorated with acanthus leaves and flowers, with a fruits jar in the central area. The colour palette shines in soft hues within the greens, blues, ochres and Siena land burned.

* The Benagazil Palace, current headquarters of the CONFAGRI, was the old farmhouse of Policarpo José Machado, inherited later by his grandson, António Francisco Machado (1796-1875), made Benagazil 1st Viscount.
