2015 Conservation and Restoration

Conservation and restoration done under the coordination of Elvira Barbosa with the collaboration of Marco Aurélio (plasters) in the Chapel of The Palace Benagazil, current headquarters of the CONFAGRI, was the old farmhouse of Policarpo José Machado, inherited later by his grandson, António Francisco Machado (1796-1875), made Benagazil 1st Viscount. The works included:

  • Altarpiece in poly-chromed wood with marbled geometric decoration in shades of pink, ocher, burnt sienna and green.
  • Decorative painting on flat plaster, friezes and profile frames, mural painting with marbled composition, vegan and figurative.
  • Holy water fonts (2).
  • Execution of one false ceiling plaster.
