Perseu with the head of Medusa, 20th c., Private

2012 Conservation and Restoration

Conservation and restoration of a copper alloy sculpture representing the mythical Greek hero Perseu, holding his sword in his right hand and holding up the Medusa's decapitated head in his left. This is a small replica of the original, done by the sculptor Bienvenuto Cellini [1500-1571], on exhibition at the Loggia dei Lanzi, also known as the Loggia della Signoria in Florence (Italy).
