Gilded bronze fruit-dish, Empire style, marked Thomire* a Paris, from the private collection of the Portuguese insurance company Lusitania, composed of two crystal plates with different sizes and decorations and 19 gilded bronze elements, obtained by casting and repoussé, decorated by carving and gilded by mercury amalgam.
* Pierre-Philippe Thomire (1731-1843), French sculptor, the most prominent bronzier, or producer of ornamental patinated and gilt-bronze objects and furniture mounts of the First French Empire.
