2017 Replicas and Reproductions

Reproduction in stone of four Roman inscriptions (2nd century AD), discovered in 1749 during the construction of a building in Lisbon (Travessa do Almada), owned by the 1st Viscount of Vila Nova de Souto, with this information:

    To the great mother of the gods, Frigia, [adored on the hill] Ida, [consecrated this memory] to Cernófora Flávia Tyche, by intervention of Marco Júlio Cassiano (?) and Cassia (?) Severa (?), In the consulate of Marco Atílio and Ânio Galo. (Vieira da Silva, nº 25);

    To the mother of the gods. Tito Licínio Amaranto gladly and rightly fulfilled the vote. (Vieira da Silva, nº 26);

    To Mercury, for the health of Augustus, offered Caio Júlio Filo (?) with the permission of the decurions. (Vieira da Silva, nº 27);
