Ethnographic goods

Ethnographic artefacts (190) from the Rural Labour’s Museum of Abela (Alentejo), to be exhibited at "Memory and Identity - traditional agriculture implement". These artefacts are mostly composite objects made of iron and copper alloy, wood and leather:

  • Ploughs, husk removers, yokes of oxen, scarifier.
  • Straps, harnesses, small hoes, hoes, pick-axes.
  • Forks, picks, sickles, shovels, ploughshares.
  • Mould-boards, fetters, seeders, sprayers, scales.
  • Headstalls, rattles, mountain-dwellers, front-lets.
  • Horseshoes, weights, wooden rakes, rakes.
  • Cushions for the yoke, selector of cereals, grid.
  • Thresher, winnowing-machine, baler and barnacles.
