The participation of Archeofactu in the opening of the Cascais Rural Space Interpretation Centre* at Casal Saloio of Outeiro de Polima was revealed in the conservation and restoration of an ensemble of 168 ethnographic artefacts, another ensemble of 9 archaeological artefacts and one Tramagal Thresher;
* The Cascais Rural Space Interpretation Centre, installed in Casal Saloio of Outeiro de Polima, was opened on March 17, 2023. The requalification of this historic building, which began to be built in the 16th century and was subject to successive expansions and reconfigurations until the mid-20th century, allowed the creation of a new space dedicated to saloia culture, in which the memories of agriculture, livestock and extraction and preparation of stone occupy a prominent place. In addition to archaeological and ethnographic objects from the Cascais City Council collections – including donations from Celestino Costa, José d' Encarnação, José Luís Duro, Manuel Pereira Moreira and Vítor Baptista dos Santos Encarnação – the Centre displays objects from the Armando Collection Freire (Caracol) and images provided by Guilherme Cardoso and Georgina Valente.©
