Table clocks (3), 18-19th cs, Queluz National Palace

2019 Conservation and Restoration

Conservation and restoration of three table clocks on display at the Queluz National Palace, one of which belongs to the collection of the National Museum of Ancient Art:

  • Table clock, wood, veneered wood, gilded copper alloy, copper alloy, iron alloy, gilded carving, enameled iron alloy, fabrics, shellac (?), glass, alabaster, 19th c. (PNQ193A).
  • Table clock, marble, gilded copper alloy, enamel, iron alloy, without mechanisms, 18th c.(PNQ216).
  • Table clock, marble, gilded copper alloy, enamel, iron alloy, 18th c. (?) (MNAA M30/MNT 737)
