Apollo's Chariot, 18th c., National Palace of Ajuda

2009 Conservation and Restoration

Conservation and restoration of a representation of Char d'Apollon, in the absence of the Apollo figure, with four white horses, features that allow us to see the car, surrounded by foliage, the frame is made of bronze with the horses and the flowers on porcelain (Inv 42 918) from Meissen, the German town where the first European porcelain factory, in activity for over 300 years, was installed.
