"A cultural asset can be sensitive to different pollutants, and its rate of deterioration may also depend on other risk factors, such as the presence of two or more pollutants together, temperature and humidity (if the dyes do not fade with water), and secondly, the elimination of finishing products, such as gums, which normally cause degradation in museum objects due to the emission of pollutants or simply by direct contact. In addition to the different types of fabrics, the vinyl intended for the floor that would cover the museum and the adhesive that would fix it to the ground were also tested analogously. The results showed that some fabrics presented problems. In one of them, the dye faded during washing, and overall, the unwashed fabrics also showed unsatisfactory results."
