Introduction
Metal objects bear witness to and carry a dual message whose elements are inseparable: the matter that constitutes them and the culture/information they transmit. Of the existing metals, gold and silver have always been the noble materials most used in Sacred Art, both for their material value and for their chemical stability and physical properties, among which their shine stands out, often associated with the brilliance of faith. Furthermore, the importance of functionality and the fact that a large number of religious objects are still in use also play a role.
