2000 Preventive Conservation

Technical advice on patinas used in a few copper alloy and bronze sculptures, belonging to the Navy Museum, including the busts of Admiral Gago Coutinho and Commander Sacadura Cabral and the image of Infante Dom Henrique (1394-1460).

Admiral Gago Coutinho (1869-1958) and Commander Sacadura Cabral (1881-1922) were responsible for the first South Atlantic air crossing, between Lisbon and Rio de Janeiro (1921), and Infante Dom Henrique (1394-1460), the Navigator, was a statesman and the main responsible for the Portuguese discoveries (16th-17th cs.).
