Flower vase, 16th c. , Wenzel Jamnitzer

2016 Research

Carrying out a diagnosis of the state of conservation and material characterization of a flower vase, using examination techniques and elementary and structural analysis. This silver filigree flower vase, in the shape of a baluster with "S" shaped handles, sitting on a circular foot in guilded silver, belongs to a private collection. The flowers in the vase were obtained by life casting, due to the work of Wenzel Jamnitzer, known as the goldsmith of the Renaissance.
