Preprints publication of the ICOM-CC 16th Triennial Conference, which was held in Lisbon, between 19 and 23 September 2011, partly due to the work done by the National Organizing Committee (NOC), whose members were Archeofactu, Portuguese National Committee of the International Council of Museums (ICOM-PT), DIrectorate General of Cultural Heritage and the Professional Association of Conservators-Restorers of Portugal (ARP).
The raison d’être of these conferences is the presentation of papers selected by the 21 Working Group Coordinators to embody the WG’s aims and triennial programmes. A record number of submissions led the Directory Board to accept more than ever before: 213 papers and 62 posters.
