Milk Station Museum
Created in 2019 by the Aboim Sande Lemos Foundation, the milk Station Museum tells the story of the pioneering institution that, in 1903, inaugurated the country's first milk station to distribute daily and free of charge high-quality cow's milk to children during lactation, providing pediatric support with a specialized doctor, as well as hygienic and social support. The exhibited collection, highlighting the country's first incubators, disseminates the history of the lactological service and support for children, as well as the development of its activity in the context of the history of health care, welfare, the history of Lisbon, and the social history of 20th-century Portugal.
