This collection was based on a variety of ornamental motifs from the Palace, the Chapel and other edifications from Quinta da Regaleira, designed by the architect Luigi Manini for A. Carvalho Monteiro (1848-1920), a man with cultural interests, which certainly influenced and guided the mysterious symbols and iconography of the palace that he had built in Sintra, the Palácio da Regaleira.
Some artefacts highlights some alchemy symbols related to the phenomena of transmutation and the change of the colour of the matter. The collection includes pieces in silver, silver and gold, silver and gold-leaf and silver and textile.
